This skirt was a cinch to make - it was the tracing that was a nightmare. BWOF tracing really isn't a problem for me, and tracing off the pleated skirt from the Stitch magazine sheet was ok, but this skirt took ages to even find the correct lines. It was so worth it, though- I love the effect of the wavy pintuck lines.
I ended up using, as usual, a bias tape hem on the skirt and a grosgrain ribbon waistband. The invisible zipper insertion I did wasn't the bestest ever, but it only has the teensiest bubble at the bottom, so it's OK. I did interface, so not sure where the bubble came from this time.
And... new mail! Two new Hot Patterns came today!! Can't wait to make that little jacket, although the notched collar is kind of freaking me out a bit.

Love the pintucked blouse. I have that HP Rivera Cardigan Jacket sitting here staring at me as well. I'm waffling over the fabric, but I want to make it soon. Perhaps this weekend. I haven't done a collar like that in a decade or two, but I like it! K
Yeah, get that HP cardigan pattern made because I'm dying to see it on someone!
I am amazed that you have sewn two skirts from the Stitch magazine! I really want to, and traced out the tulip skirt, but the sizing on the skirts is all wrong for me. And I don't know if I love any of them enough to get the sizing worked out. Anyhow, bravo to you for your second skirt! Hope we get to see pics in daylight. :)
Me too...me too! That HP Rivera Jacket is calling me also...can't wait to see what you do with it!
Well, I guess I need to get cracking on that jacket! =) I laid out the pattern today, need to pick a size and trace it off.
Karen, the blouse is Thakoon for Target... LOVE the tops in that line, they're all cotton and really nice.
Wow - the pintucks look great! :)
