I managed to add a hem to Kate's Christmas present dress, and so I've written up a review for PR. It's the girls jumper from the new November BWOF magazine.
And, there is a cute slideshow on the NYT website today, and an article featuring Joelle Hoverson, who owns the Purl Patchwork store on Sullivan St in Soho.

What a great use of print. I would not have thought of such a sophisticated print for a child's dress, but the pink piping and the plain skirt make it look perfect. You are good at this! I am jealous of your BWOF, I am not expecting the November issue for at least another 2 weeks, probably 3.
I can't believe that BWOF was on the newstand so early here! There's a nice kids vest pattern in it, too. :)
Kate has incredibly mature taste in prints... more so than I do for myself, really. (I'd wear head to toe solid black constantly if left to my own devices, so she's good to bring shopping.) She picked that fat quarter out of my stash a few months ago, and it's been in "her" pile since.
This is the cutest dress! What a great pairing of print and solid fabric!!!
